Panipat, June 10
Hundreds of farmers led by BKU leader Gurnam Singh Charuni left for the Singhu border from a toll plaza on the NH-44 here today. A long cavalcade of tractors-trolleys, cars, jeeps and motorcycles was seen traversing the highway.
Traffic was disrupted in the city because of the cavalcade of farmers’ vehicles. Farmers reached the protest site in the evening. Before leaving for Singhu, Charuni said, “The three farm laws introduced last year are not for farmers, but for the corporate sector.”

He also questioned the Centre for the increase in MSP of kharif crops.
Charuni appealed to young farmers to maintain discipline during the agitation.
