Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Shyam Singh Rana has urged farmers to report crop losses through available government portals to ensure timely compensation.

"For the convenience of farmers in Haryana, a system has been put in place to report crop damage through the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) and the Haryana Compensation Portal," he said in a statement.

He informed that farmers registered under the PMFBY could report their crop damage to the nearest agriculture officer, or by calling the toll-free number 14447 within 72 hours.

The farmers not enrolled in the crop insurance scheme can register their losses on the Haryana Compensation Portal, but they must first be registered on the Meri Fasal Mera Byora portal.
