Various farmers’ organisations holding dharna in Hisar, Charkhi Dadri, Jind and Fatehabad districts paid tributes to the youth farmer activist Shubhkaran Singh, who had died in the clash with the police at the Khanauri Data Singh Wala border in Jind district on February 22.

Pagri Sambhal Jatta Kisan Sangharsh Samiti, which has been holding pucca morcha at the mini-secretariat in Hisar organised a condolence meeting at the dharna site today. Sandeep Siwach, state general secretary of the Samiti, demanded a fair inquiry into the alleged murder of Shubhkaran Singh.

The farmer activists said the police had unleashed atrocities on the innocent farmer activists.

He said they would start a foot march to Delhi from Krantiman Park in Hisar on March 8 and will reach Delhi on March 14.

The phogat khap-led dharna along NH 152 B near Samaypur village in Charkhi Dadri district also organised a condolence meeting and paid tributes to the young activist. The phogat khap leaders said they would ensure huge turnout in Delhi on March 14.

The women farmer activists paid tributes to Shubhkaran Singh and other activists who had died during the dharna at the Shambu and Khanauri border at Ayalki village in Fatehabad district today.
