Son of a farmer and Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) student Kushal Dalal has won gold and silver medals in archery at the World University Games held in Germany.

The MDU authorities, led by VC Rajbir Singh, felicitated him on the university campus here on Monday. His father Sandeep Dalal was also present. “Kushal has proved that no goal is far with dedication and hard work,” said the VC.

MDU Dean (Academic Affairs) SC Malik, Registrar Krishan Kant, director (Sports) Shakuntala Beniwal, director (Public Relations) Ashish Dahiya and the sports coaches also congratulated him.

Kushal said he had achieved this feat by working hard for eight to 10 hours daily. “Right guidance, constant practice and hard work are the mantras of success,” he exhorted the budding sportspersons.
