Five employees of a Sector 84-based private hospital were killed, while another was critically injured in a road accident near Sadhrana village last night. The Gurugram police have handed over the bodies to the families concerned after postmortem.

According to the police, the accident took place around 1 am when a car carrying six employees of Genesis Hospital, Sector 84, collided with a pile of bricks on the roadside and overturned near the Harsaru-Sadhrana road. A police team reached the spot and retrieved the occupants stuck in the mangled car. While Jagbir (38), Jiwat (19), Prince, Sagar (24) and Niyaj Khan (45) died on the spot, Hardik Tiwari (21) sustained injuries. The police said Sagar was driving the car.

“Hardik said in his statement that the car was speeding. We have lodged a report and handed over the bodies to the kin after the postmortem,” said Inspector Naveen Kumar, SHO, Sector 10A police station. — OC
