Five members of vehicle lifting gang arrested
The police have arrested five members of a vehicle lifting gang, seizing an SUV and illegal weapons from them.
Acting on the tip-off, a police team set up a barricade near the Dhankot canal, where they intercepted an SUV without a number plate and apprehended the five suspects inside.
The accused have been identified as Paramjit alias Gyani, a resident of Indra Colony in Rohtak; Pawan alias Poni, from Balhara Chowk, Rohtak; Mazlish alias Suppy, a resident of Jurhera village, Bharatpur district, Rajasthan; Mahesh, from Sohna; and Prem, from Buwani Khera in Bhiwani district. A country-made pistol and two cartridges were recovered from their possession.
