The state government has asked all administrative secretaries, the DGP and DCs to organise Independence Day functions with the requisite Covid measures.

An official spokesperson said as per the guidelines for the Independence Day function, gatherings of invitees/spectators at the district/sub-divisional level functions should not be more than 1,000 persons. — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
