Senior BJP leader and former Ambala City MLA Faqir Chand Aggarwal (92) died after a prolonged illness today. The cremation will be held tomorrow.

According to information, Faqir Chand started his career as a science teacher in 1954 and became headmaster in 1965. He also won state and national awards for the best teacher. In 1994, he retired from service and was elected an MLA in 1996. He was the Deputy Speaker in the Haryana Assembly. Since he was a teacher, he was popularly known as Master Faqir Chand. His wife had passed away in 2022. He is survived by two sons and two daughters.

His son, Ajay Kumar Aggarwal, said, “He was not keeping well for the past 4-5 years. He was an active member of the RSS.”
