According to the complaint, Gahlot, who was the chairman of the MLA Group Housing Committee, allegedly transferred Bali Pehalwan’s flat to Virendra Rana, the INLD’s 2019 Lok Sabha candidate from Gurugram, by using a fake resignation letter.
Bali Pehalwan alleged that the flat transfer was executed through “a planned conspiracy.” “I had lodged the complaint in 2020, but the committee failed to conduct a fair investigation and closed the case without verifying the facts,” he claimed.
Following a detailed probe, the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) recommended registration of a case, leading to an FIR being lodged at the Sector 29 police station four days ago. A senior police officer confirmed, “An FIR has been registered, and the case is being investigated by the EOW.”
Reacting to the development, Gahlot dismissed the allegations, saying, “All the allegations are baseless. Bali Pehalwan had earlier filed a similar complaint, which was also found to be fabricated.”
