Former Education Minister Ram Bilas Sharma flagged off the Tiranga Yatra taken out by the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) in Mahendragarh today.
The yatra started from the college ground near Model Sanskriti School and culminated at Shaheed Rao Tularam Chowk after passing through Sainipura, 1 Hatta Bazaar, Sabzi Mandi, Shankar Market, Balaji Chowk, Vishwakarma Chowk and the bus stand. Despite rain, youths participated in yatra. They raised patriotic slogans while holding the Tricolour in their hands.
At various places in the city, traders welcomed the Tiranga Yatra and showered flowers on participants. Sharma garlanded the statue of Shaheed Rao Tularam during the yatra. Speaking on the occasion, Sharma said the BJP was taking out Tiranga Yatras across the state. He said people were taking a pledge to maintain national unity and integrity by infusing patriotism among themselves. — TNS
