Four arrested from Gujarat for JJP leader Ravinder Saini's murder in Hansi

The Hansi police have arrested four persons who had reportedly aided the criminals who gunned down JJP leader Ravinder Saini in Hansi on July 10.

The police arrested the suspects from Gujarat. They were brought to Hansi today and produced before a court, which sent them to five-day police custody.

The arrested suspects have been identified Praveen, who is brother of main accused Vikas, Ravinder of Sisai village, Ramesh alias Yogi of Gamra village and Praveen of Khiwara village in Rajasthan.

Hansi SP Maqsood Ahmad had earlier said that Vikas was the mastermind in the case. According to the SP, Vikas had roped in sharpshooters to eliminate Saini with whom he had personal enmity. Vikas was earlier convicted in an attempt to murder case filed by Saini.

The SP said Vikas had hatched a conspiracy and roped in sharpshooters. CCTV footage of the incident revealed that four persons were involved in the crime. While one of them was riding a motorcycle, three others went up to Saini and shot him four times outside his showroom.

Saini had got police protection, but his security guard was inside the showroom when the incident occurred.

Police sources said the four persons who were seen in the CCTV were still on the run. After taking Vikas in its custody from a jail, the police started tracing the accused. During investigation, it transpired that the the four arrested accused had assisted the sharpshooters before and after the murder.

The arrested accused too tried to dodge the police by changing their locations, but police teams and the Special Task Force managed to track them down in Gujarat.

A police spokesperson said the police teams were still conducting a manhunt to arrest the remaining four accused in the case.
