A woman was reportedly poisoned to death by her husband and in-laws at Gaganheri village of the district. The police have registered a case of dowry death and started investigation.

The police said the victim, Geeta, was married to Pradeep of Gaganheri village in 2014. Geeta’s brother Rajiv complained to the police that her husband and in-laws used to harass her for dowry and alleged that they poisoned her to death on Friday. The police have started investigation into the case.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
