The event will be held at Chaudhary Devi Lal University (CDLU) in Sirsa and will continue until December 1.
On the opening day, a seminar on the Shrimad Bhagavad Geeta will be organised at the university auditorium. In the following days, the festival will include a havan, knowledge-based competitions, Geeta chanting, spiritual talks, cultural performances and an exhibition focused on the teachings of the Geeta. A city procession and themed displays will also be held to promote spirituality, duty and life values.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Virendra Sehrawat said the seminar on November 28 would highlight the relevance of the Geeta in daily life. On November 29, the festival will be formally inaugurated with a havan and Geeta worship at the CDLU multipurpose hall, where 23 departments will set up exhibitions.
Cultural presentations featuring schoolchildren and local artists will form part of the programme. The Department of Information, Public Relations and Languages will present a special exhibition on government welfare schemes under the Antyodaya initiative.
Sehrawat urged residents to participate actively and “embrace the message of the Geeta” during the four-day celebration.
