The court of Additional District and Sessions Judge has sentenced four persons to rigorous imprisonment for life in a murder case.

The court has sentenced Rajinder, Jasvinder, Mandeep and Paramjit Kaur, in the murder case of Bimla Devi.

A Kurukshetra Police spokesman said on May 23, 2020, Harjit Singh, a resident of Bir Pipli, in his complaint to the police stated that he worked as a commission agent at Pipli Grain market and he had a dispute over land with Jasvinder Singh. On May 23, he and his family members were attacked by Jasvinder Singh and his accomplice at his house. During the attack, Harjit’s mother Bimla Devi suffered injuries and she succumbed to her injuries during treatment. A case was registered at Thanesar Sadar police station and during the inquiry Rajinder, Jasvinder Singh, Mandeep Singh and Paramjit Kaur were arrested by the police.

The court held Rajinder, Jasvinder, Mandeep and Paramjit Kaur guilty and sentenced them to rigorous imprisonment for life. The court had slapped a fine of Rs 33,000 each on them.
