Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini attacked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of visiting Haryana as a “tourist” and failing to address key issues faced by the people of the state during the Congress regime in the state. He was addressing a public meeting while campaigning in Kaithal in support of party’s candidate Leela Ram.

He claimed that Rahul Gandhi had come to the state with his sister, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, merely as visitors rather than as leaders with concrete plans.

Highlighting the achievements of the BJP government over the past 10 years, he said, “We have carried out inclusive development with the mission of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, and Sabka Vishwas. Rahul Gandhi should answer the 2.80 crore people of Haryana why his party failed to deliver during their tenure.”

Saini took a jibe at former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, alleging that he had failed to address the issues when he was in power. He said, “Hooda Sahab has not given any reply to the questions asked by us. If Rahul Gandhi gives an answer, we will think there is humanity in him,” said Saini.

He urged Rahul Gandhi to respond to the youth, farmers and women of Haryana, who were ignored during the Congress government and the BJP had given them full respect.

Saini questioned the Congress’ track record on employment, accusing the previous government of distributing jobs through a system of ‘parchi aur kharchi’ (nepotism and bribe).

“Today, the youth of Haryana want to ask Rahul Gandhi why jobs were given through ‘parchi aur kharchi’ during the Congress government. Rahul should give a reply so that the youth could be satisfied. The Congress had failed to fill vacant posts?” he asked, demanding that Rahul Gandhi give answers to the people of the state.

Saini further alleged that the farmers’ land was looted under the Congress rule, and claimed that Haryana’s women were also awaiting answers from the Congress leader.

Saini further criticised the Congress party for releasing its manifesto multiple times, saying, “This is the first time a party has released its manifesto twice. First, the Congress released it in Delhi, but the people rejected it. Then, they released another in Haryana. Let the Congress leaders understand that neither the arrival of leaders nor the release of manifestos will change their fate.”
