The police have claimed to have busted a gang involved in dismantling stolen vehicles and selling their parts in the market, by arresting three persons.

According to a police spokesperson, a team of the CIA staff of the police led by ASI Ravinder Kumar, raided a spot near Bamnikhera village and nabbed three youths involved in dismantling and removing parts of some of the stolen vehicles inside a boundary wall of a house on Monday.

He said the raid was carried out on the basis of the inputs that some persons had been procuring stolen vehicles and selling their parts in the grey market.

He said the accused arrested have been identified as Jishan, a resident of Badarpur in Delhi, Amir of Bichore village in Nuh district and Akhtar, hailing from Kot village of the Bahin police station area of Palwal district.

A police spokesperson revealed that the accused were found to be dismantling a Maruti EcoVan , which was stolen from Amar Colony in New Delhi recently.

The accused told the police that they had also dismantled two cars stolen from Delhi and Uttar Pradesh earlier before selling their parts in various markets. — TNS
