A gangrape victim reportedly died by suicide at a village in Nuh district after one of the accused took away the baby she had delivered yesterday.

On the complaint of the deceased’s mother, the police have registered a case against the accused at the Pinangwa police station. Her mother claimed that about nine months ago, Haseen, Mubbi, Sameem and Naved, residents of Jahtana village, had raped her daughter, after which she became pregnant.
“When the accused came to know about the birth of a boy, they visited the house and started taking the baby with them. When our family protested, they left, but threatened to kill us. Around 9 pm last night, the four accused, who were armed, again came to the home and took away the baby. My daughter could not bear the pain of separation and hanged herself late at night,” she said in her complaint.
