Gangster Anmol Bishnoi booked for threatening Bhim Sena chief

The Gurugram police have registered a case against gangster Anmol Bishnoi, brother of Lawrence Bishnoi, for threatening Bhim Sena chief Satpal Tanwar. Anmol is accused of making threat calls from the US and Canada using numbers of Zimbabwe and Kenya.

Considering the seriousness of the matter, teams of STF, crime units and several cyber crime teams were formed for investigation. A senior police officer said efforts were being made to bring Anmol to India.

According to the complaint filed by Tanwar, he received several death threats from Anmol on October 30. In the total phone calls of 6 minutes 41 seconds, the gangster was repeatedly threatening him. The accused also misbehaved and threatened his woman secretary over the phone call.

The police marked an investigation into the complaint and a team of cyber police and crime units found the complaint true. After this, an FIR was registered against Anmol under relevant sections of BNS at the Sector 37 police station on Saturday.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has declared a reward of Rs 10 lakh on Anmol, who is reportedly hiding in the US.

A senior police officer said an FIR had been registered and the probe was underway. The Mumbai Crime Branch has already initiated the extradition process for Anmol, who is wanted in connection with a series of high-profile criminal cases, including a recent firing incident outside actor Salman Khan’s residence, which has drawn significant media attention. The NIA has placed Anmol on its most-wanted list, offering a reward of Rs 10 lakh for any information leading to his arrest.

The extradition proposal was prompted by information received from US authorities confirming Anmol’s presence in the US. A senior police official indicated that the proposal has been officially forwarded to the relevant authorities after the US informed Mumbai police of Anmol’s whereabouts.
