Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) president Abhay Singh Chautala said the situation in Haryana had become from bad to worse. He claimed that gangsters were openly killing people who refused to pay extortion money, creating an atmosphere of fear across the state.

He was speaking to party workers from Sirsa and Kalanwali at a meeting held on Friday at Maharaja Palace on Dabwali Road. During the event, he invited everyone to join a big rally in Rohtak on September 25 to honour former leader Devi Lal.

Abhay Chautala said he had a family connection with Sirsa and believed that lakhs of people from the area would attend the Rohtak event to pay tribute and take a pledge to remove the anti-people BJP government.

He accused some leaders of cheating the public in 2019 by joining hands with the BJP, even after promising to follow the path of Devi Lal. He also blamed Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda for fielding weak candidates in elections, which helped the BJP come to power.

Abhay Chautala said the INLD would win the elections in 2029 and bring real development in Haryana. He criticised the growing problems of drugs and crime in the state, which he said had damaged Haryana’s image across the country.

He also called the “Lado Lakshmi” scheme for women useless, saying it had too many conditions, making it impossible for most women to benefit from it.

Many INLD leaders attended the meeting, including state president Rampal Majra, MLAs Aditya Devi Lal, Arjun Chautala, district president Jasbir Singh Jassa and other senior party workers. Abhay Chautala said many old workers who had left the party were now returning, making INLD stronger once again.
