According to the official data, discharge at Tatiana gauge touched 42,548 cusecs, which was 21.1 feet by 11 AM on Monday. Though it was still below the danger mark of 23 feet, the administration sounded the alarm as a precautionary step. Residents have been alerted and advised to remain vigilant.

Deputy Commissioner Preeti visited the site on Sunday to review arrangements and inspect flood-prone areas. She directed officials to stay on standby and ensure the safety of residents in vulnerable zones.

To boost preparedness, flood control rooms have been established at district headquarters and the Guhla sub-division level. The DC assured that all necessary measures are in place for a swift response if the situation worsens.
