On being asked about resentment prevailing among ticket aspirants after they were denied tickets, Gupta said that efforts would be made to pacify them. ”We will visit the homes of any upset workers and persuade them to stand with the party. I am confident that no dedicated BJP worker, who has been nurturing the lotus for years, will stay away,” he added.

Welcoming the Congress’s participation in the municipal elections, Gupta said it was good for democracy. Meanwhile, BJP's mayoral candidate Renu Bala Gupta expressed her commitment to work for the city’s development and urged the voters to support the party.

The municipal elections in Haryana are scheduled for March 2, while the results will be declared on March 12.
