A 19-year-old girl student of Kurukshetra University allegedly died by suicide by hanging at her hostel room on Saturday.The deceased was identified as Shagun, a resident of Jind. She was a student of BSc first year and was living at Luxmi Bai Bhawan at Kurukshetra University.

SHO KUK police station Dinesh Rana said “A girl has committed suicide at the hostel in Kurukshetra University. No suicide note was recovered and the family of the deceased has also not raised any suspicion.”

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
