Girl molested by stepfather

Yamunanagar: A 19-year-old girl was allegedly molested by her stepfather in a village of Jathlana. A case was registered against Sandeep Kumar, under Section 354 IPC at Jathlana police station on Tuesday. In her complaint, the victim said Sandeep was her stepfather. She said he asked her to go with him to a nearby forest to collect wood for cooking. She alleged that there, he molested her. TNS

Industrial worker ends life

Sonepat: Rajesh Kumar (48), an industrial worker at a unit in the HSIIDC complex of Bari near Gannaur, committed suicide by hanging from a fan in one of the rooms of his residential accommodation in the unit. His son Ranjit found his body hanging from a fan on Wednesday morning and informed the unit owner and the police. Cops reached the spot and sent the body to the Civil Hospital. KU staff get salary

Kurukshetra: The Kurukshetra University disbursed salaries of its teaching and non-teaching staff and pension on Wednesday after it received a grant of Rs21 crore from the state. Deputy Director, Public Relations of KU, Deepak Rai said, “Following continuous efforts made by VC Dr Neeta Khanna, the KU received a grant of over Rs21 crore from the state and the salaries have been disbursed.” TNS
