Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar (GJUST), signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Chaudhary Bansi Lal University, Bhiwani (CBLU), here today.

Both institutions will cooperate and focus on cooperation within the area of skill-based training, education and research.

Prof Narsi Ram Bishnoi, Vice-Chancellor, signed the MoU on behalf of the GJUST and Prof Deepti Dharmani, Vice-Chancellor, signed the MoU on behalf of CBLU. Prof Vinod Chhokar, Registrar, and Prof Namita Singh, Dean International Affairs, signed as witnesses on behalf of GJUST, while Dr Reetu Singh, Registrar, and Prof Sanjeev Kumar, Director, Research, signed as witness on behalf of the CBLU. Prof Neeraj Dilbaghi and Prof Archna Kapoor were present on the occasion.

Prof Bishnoi said the MoU would be useful for both universities, establishing channels of communication and cooperation that will promote and advance their respective operations within the institution and its related wings.

The institutes shall keep each other informed of potential opportunities and share all information that may be relevant to secure additional opportunities for both. The institutions will facilitate effective utilisation of the intellectual capabilities of the faculty of both institutions. The institutions shall cooperate with each other and shall, as promptly as is reasonably practical, enter into all relevant agreements, deeds and documents as may be required to give effect to the actions contemplated in terms of this MoU.

Prof Dharmani of the CBLU said the GJUST shall recognise CBLU as an academic and research centre on a par with the academic departments of GJUST and faculty of the CBLU on a par with faculty of GJUST for academic and research work and vice versa. Both universities will also provide opportunities to PG/PhD students to conduct research in their laboratories.
