To further expand road infrastructure and connectivity in the city, the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) has floated a tender to engage a consultant for the preparation of a feasibility report.
The consultant will also prepared a detailed project report for the construction of a railway overbridge (ROB) and a railway underbridge (RUB) along Sector 37-D to improve road access between Garhi Harsaru and Dwarka Expressway and to eliminate level crossing No. 29 near Basai village.
The feasibility study will be undertaken to determine whether a flyover or an underpass will be the most suitable infrastructure to be developed on the stretch.
A detailed analysis of the traffic pattern, vehicle density, determination of peak rush hours, most commuted routes among other key aspects will be included. The development of additional road infrastructure will be instrumental in improving seamless road network among Sectors 36, 37 and sectors along the Dwarka Expressway. “In view of growing traffic and to provide a safe commuting experience in Gurugram, we are planning to develop the required infrastructure,” said Vikas Malik, executive engineer, GMDA.
