Haryana Governor Prof Ashim Kumar Ghosh presided over the function as chief guest, while Prof Rajbir Singh, Vice-Chancellor of Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, attended as guest of honour. Prof Deepti Dharmani, Vice-Chancellor of Chaudhary Bansi Lal University, was present as a special invitee.
Around 300 students who completed their undergraduate and postgraduate studies were conferred degrees during the ceremony.
Four distinguished alumni — IMJS Sidhu (Chairman, Vardhman Textiles, Baddi), Anil Jain (Chairman, Jain Cords), Harish Saraf (Founder and CEO, Nippon Data Systems) and Subhash Bhargava (Managing Director, Colorant) — were honoured with the Distinguished Alumni Award for their remarkable contributions to the industry.
RK Dalmia, Chairman, Board of Governors, and Prof BK Behera, Director of the Institute, were also present on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Governor Prof Ghosh said institutions such as TIT&S were shaping the future of technical and industrial education through discipline, research and close industry linkages. He urged students to work not merely for employment but with a spirit of nation-building, adding that a convocation symbolised the transformation of knowledge into action rather than just the receipt of a degree.
