After the successful pilot project in Panchkula, the Haryana Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department has rolled out the integration of the Meri Fasal Mera Byora (MFMB) portal with the Integrated Fertiliser Management System (iFMS) across all districts from Wednesday.

The initiative aims to bring transparency and efficiency in the distribution of government-subsidised fertilisers, ensuring that only registered farmers receive supplies of urea, DAP and other fertilisers.

“All fertilisers will now be issued only after registration on the MFMB portal. The new system, launched today across the state, follows the successful trial in Panchkula, where the integration streamlined fertiliser transactions and curbed misuse,” said Dr Wazir Singh, Deputy Director Agriculture (DDA), Karnal.

He said the key objective is to ensure accurate and timely fertiliser distribution and address any operational or technical challenges during rollout. “The director has instructed all Deputy Directors Agriculture to monitor implementation at the district level and submit regular progress reports,” he added.

Dr Singh said linking MFMB with iFMS would introduce greater accountability and control in fertiliser distribution. “The integration will ensure fertilisers are provided only to registered farmers of Haryana and prevent diversion for non-agricultural or industrial purposes,” he said.

Under the earlier system, fertilisers could be purchased by anyone using an Aadhaar card, leading to potential misuse and diversion. “Now, fertilisers will be issued strictly on the basis of verified farmer data on the MFMB portal,” Dr Singh said.

He clarified that there is no restriction on the quantity of fertiliser per acre, and farmers can continue purchasing as per their needs. “The only change is that farmers must now ensure registration on the MFMB portal before purchase,” he added.
