Nearly three months after the Urban Local Bodies’ (ULB) elections were held in various districts of the state, the BJP government has nominated 96 municipal councillors, ending the wait for many local leaders who had been lobbying for these positions.

The list of nominated councillors was released by Vikas Gupta, Commissioner and Secretary, Urban Local Bodies Department, Haryana. Out of total 96 nominations, 72 councillors have been nominated to municipal councils and committees, while the remaining 24 have been appointed to eight municipal corporations, with three nominees in each.
