Govt plans settlement scheme for CMR delivery defaulters

Haryana Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Rajesh Nagar said that the state government is working on a one-time settlement scheme for rice millers who defaulted on custom milled rice (CMR) delivery in previous years and have outstanding dues.

Nagar chaired a meeting with the Rice Millers Association today to discuss the matter. He stated that rice millers who fulfilled their CMR delivery obligations to the Food Corporation of India (FCI) within the department's stipulated deadline have been awarded bonus by the department.

The minister said that the photocopy paper required by various state departments would now be supplied by the Printing and Stationery Department. He stated that this initiative would not only reduce government expenditure but also save time and enhance transparency in departmental operations.

He directed officials of the Printing and Stationery Department to identify all land parcels owned by the department across the state and prepare a comprehensive plan for their effective utilisation. He also instructed that modern, technology-driven machines should be adopted for printing processes to enhance efficiency and improve the quality of work.
