Group clashes, stone-pelting incidents reported from Haryana’s Nuh

A few incidents of group clashes and stone-pelting were reported from Haryana’s Nuh as the state went to polls on Saturday.

Supporters of Congress candidate Mohammad Ilyas and Independent candidate Rahis Khan clashed and resorted to stone-pelting at Punhana assembly segment. Both the groups accused each other of bogus-voting.

Voters suffered minor injuries and the police are on the spot.

Clashes have also been reported from Khwajakalan village and Gulalta village. One person has been hospitalised.

Security has been stepped up in the entire segment and police are patrolling the streets.

There was stone-pelting at Chandeni village as supporters of Aftab Ahmed and INLD candidate Taahir Hussain clashed. The situation is under control now.

An altercation with police was also reported from Tauru block of Sohna assembly segment.
