Addressing a news conference in Rohtak on Wednesday, Grover congratulated Congress MLA Bharat Bhushan Batra and asked him to fulfil the responsibility given to him by the voters of the constituency.

“He should not disappoint the people and work for them,” said Grover.

Questioned about the reason behind his defeat, Grover said the people were misled by the Congress campaign and had started to believe that Bhupinder Singh Hooda was going to become the Chief Minister.

“They (Congress leaders) misled the voters by promising to provide them government jobs on coming to power,” he said.
