According to the complaint by Sanjeev Kumar, Executive Engineer-4 of MCG, the corporation had issued a work order to Suresh Kumar in July for the operation and maintenance of the sewerage system within Ward 25. Additionally, Maxworth Infratech was assigned a contract for the operation and maintenance of the sewerage motor in the same ward.

On August 4, a significant amount of water accumulated in Tyagiwada Mohalla. It was the responsibility of both contractors to provide the necessary equipment to resolve the problem, but none of them responded.

“MCG officials attempted to contact the contractors to send the required equipment to the site, but neither responded. They switched off their phones. Negligence of the contractors has resulted in several accidents in the area, as reported by residents. Legal action must be taken against them,” Kumar said. Following the complaint, an FIR was registered against both contractors.
