The Gurugram police arrested six persons who were plotting a dacoity near Bar Gurjar village on Sunday night. The police recovered two stolen motorcycles, one pistol, one mobile phone, an iron rod, two sticks, one torch and Rs 1,000 from the possession of the accused.

According to the police, the arrested were identified as Manish, a resident of Hathras district; Saurav from Kannauj district in Uttar Pradesh; Abhishek, alias Goli, and Nitin, residents of Basai village in Mahendragarh district; Sunny Nagar of Mohammadabad village in Uttar Pradesh, and Gaurav from Kheri Ghulam village in Kaithal district of Haryana.

The police got a tip-off on Sunday late night that six youths were plotting a dacoity at a deserted location. Acting on the information, a police team led by Inspector Mahender Pathak, SHO of the Kherki Daula police station, reached the spot and arrested all six accused. The accused attempted to escape on seeing the police, but were arrested. An FIR was registered against them.

“We have taken all six accused on a three-day police remand after they were produced in a city court today and are questioning them. During the remand, the accused will be interrogated about other co-accused and incidents,” said Vipin Ahalawat, ACP Manesar.
