Led by Assistant Engineer (Enforcement) Krishna Kumar and Junior Engineer Pradeep, along with a police force, the team razed the colony named Avenue-34, spread over an area of about three acres.

During the operation, 10 boundary walls and three under-construction buildings were demolished using a bulldozer. The district administration granted Kumar the powers of a duty magistrate to employ the police force if resistance was encountered from the developers of the colony.

MC Commissioner Dr Narhari Singh Banger emphasised a zero-tolerance policy towards unauthorised constructions, encroachments, illegal occupation of MC land and illegal colonisation within the MC area.
