Hansi Police book man over casteist remarks against Sirsa MP Kumari Selja
The Hansi district police on Monday registered a case under the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act against a man on the charges of making casteist remarks against Congress leader and Sirsa MP Kumari Selja.
The accused identified as Pirthi was booked under section 3(1)(r) of the SC/ST Act on the complaint of a police constable.
According to the FIR, the incident occurred on September 12 in Narnaund when the accused made casteist remarks and used unparliamentary language on social media to target the Sirsa MP.
Narnaund SHO Chander Bhan said a case have been registered and further investigation is under way.
