The House will meet till August 27.
Initially, the government, according to an informal programme, had proposed a three-day session which was to end on August 26.
However, the Congress had said that they would demand a longer session when the BAC meets.
Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Anil Vij said that the Monsoon Session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha will now run from August 22 to 27.
He further stated that the government is ready to respond to every point raised by the Opposition in the Assembly.
Vij was replying to questions asked by the media persons after the meeting of the BAC.
He added that leaders of all parties were present in the BAC meeting and the Committee decided to extend the House proceedings by one more day.
Responding to a question about the absence of the Leader of Opposition in the Assembly, Vij said, “This is due to the Congress party’s inability to take decisions, the refusal of its members to accept any leader, and the lack of authority within the party.”
When asked about a new passenger train between Ambala Cantt and Chandigarh, Vij said there had been a demand for rail connectivity for daily commuters. Accordingly, he had written to the Railway Minister, who has now replied that a feasibility check will be conducted.
