The uplift of the poorest of the poor is the topmost priority of state government, said the Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar while interacting with the people at ‘janata darbar’ organised here today.

In the ‘janata darbar’, representatives of nomadic tribes shared their issues with the Chief Minister and apprised him that the benefit of permanent housing facilities should also be made available to them.

The CM said a 200-yard area, which was already in possession of the nomadic tribes, would be given to them provided they have any valid certificate and they have been in possession of the land till March 31, 2000.

Representatives and members of the Bhakra Dam Oustees Association also shared their grievances with the Chief Minister. Khattar directed the officers to constitute a five-member committee consisting of two departmental officers and the Deputy Commissioners of Fatehabad, Sirsa, and Hisar.

He also directed that all the problems raised by the community members should be resolved within six months.

Hansi area residents also raised a complaint regarding the mistakes made in the ‘jamabandi’ of Hansi area in 2017-18. On this, the Chief Minister directed the officers that thorough verification of all the mistakes should be done and new ‘jamabandis’ should be done considering 2012-13 as base.
