Faridabad: At least 250 residents of Faridabad, Gurugram and Delhi took part in a 7-km walk through the jungles of the Aravalli hills in the district on Sunday morning to create awareness and love for the ecology. Sanjay Bagul, one of the organisers, said there was a dire need to create a sense of attachment to and love for greenery as these hills were the lungs for lakhs in the NCR. Alleging that the authorities had failed to check or prevent degradation, he said people had taken up the cudgels to fight the menace.

Simian scare at Mini-Sectt

Hisar: Monkeys have affected working at offices on the top floor of the Mini-Secretariat for the past around 10 days. Officials said monkeys entered the gallery and offices on the fourth floor and created a scare among employees. The canteen at the terrace seemed to attract monkeys with leftovers. An employee said the simians recently tore the sofas placed at the entrance to the Education Department office on the fourth floor. The monkeys sometimes spread out to other floors, causing a scare among employees.
