The portal, open till January 20, allows uninsured farmers to report their losses for compensation, which will be verified through field inspections.

As per sources, Charkhi Dadri has the highest number of affected farmers, with 9,721 farmers from 167 villages reporting damages. Rewari has seen 6,178 farmers from 252 villages filing claims, followed by Mahendragarh with 5,067 farmers from 308 villages. Gurugram, Hisar, Fatehabad, Palwal and Rohtak districts have also reported significant crop losses, with four farmers from two villages in Rohtak also seeking compensation.

Kanwar Singh, a farmer from Alamgirpur village in Rewari, said, “My mustard crop on 10 acres was destroyed in the hailstorm. I have no other source of income to provide for my family. Like me, all affected farmers are looking towards the state government for adequate compensation to help us through this crisis.”

Rohtak ADC Narendra Kumar emphasised the importance of the e-Kshatipurti portal in addressing farmers’ grievances. “The portal was opened by the state government to enable farmers to report their crop losses and receive compensation as per policy. I urge all farmers to register in a timely manner,” he said.

Dr Vivek Bharti, Deputy Commissioner, Mahendragarh, highlighted the eligibility criteria, stating, “Only farmers who have registered on the Meri Fasal Mera Byora portal can claim compensation through the e-Kshatipurti portal.”

The Revenue and Disaster Management Department is actively assessing the losses. “As per the Chief Minister's instructions, we are collecting detailed reports on crop damage across the district,” Dr Bharti added.
