Health and Family Welfare Minister Anil Vij today said Haryana had become the first state in the country to issue online license to a factory for manufacturing medicine.

Giving information in this regard, the Health Minister said to get the licence, the applicant had to apply at statedrugs.gov.in.

“Goa, Delhi and Jammu and Kashmir issue online licenses for drug sales, but Haryana has become the first state in the country to issue a licence online for drug manufacturing. Vij said the ONDLS portal was launched by him in Ambala recently.

This had been possible due to the efforts of the Haryana Food and Drug Administration Department and Central Standard Control Organisation, Government of India, the Health Minister added.

He added that soon, in addition to the manufacturing licence, necessary certificates for tender and export can also be procured online.
