The Haryana government notifies public holidays for the year 2025. The following festivals and occasions which fall on closed days have been excluded from the list.

Shaheedi Diwas, 23 March, Sunday
Ram Navmi, 6 April, Sunday
Vaisakhi, Chhath Puja, 13 April, Sunday
Id-ud-zuha (Bakrid), 7 June, Saturday
Raksha Bandhan, 9 August, Saturday
Janmashtmi, 16 August, Saturday
Haryana Day, 1 November, Saturday

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
