The autopsy of senior Haryana IPS officer Y Puran Kumar was conducted at the PGIMER, Chandigarh, after his wife, IAS officer Amneet P Kumar, gave consent on Wednesday.

Y Puran Kumar (52) allegedly died by suicide on October 7.

His family had refused post-mortem earlier, demanding action against officers named in his eight-page 'final note'.

Allegations in 'final note':

Kumar accused eight senior IPS officers including:

Former Haryana DGP Shatrujeet Kapur,

and Rohtak SP Narendra Bijarniya,

of caste-based discrimination, mental harassment, and public humiliation.

Administrative action:

Haryana DGP Kapur sent on leave.

SP Bijarniya transferred.

A six-member SIT formed by Chandigarh Police to investigate the case.

Judicial 

Chandigarh Police sought court permission for body identification.

Court issued notice to Kumar’s wife, leading to post-mortem approval.

Rahul Gandhi visited the family, demanding justice and arrests of the accused.

Protests held by Dalit groups and opposition parties.

Fresh twist:

ASI Sandeep Kumar, posted in Rohtak, allegedly died by suicide on Tuesday.

He accused the deceased IPS officer Puran Kumar of corruption, adding a complex layer to the case.

Amneet P Kumar's statement:

She reposed trust in the judiciary and police and committed full cooperation to ensure a time-bound, impartial probe.
