Haryana Speaker constitutes 8 Assembly committees

The Speaker of the Haryana Legislative Assembly, Harvinder Kalyan, has constituted eight committees of the Assembly for 2025–26 under the rules of procedure and conduct of business of the Assembly.

Congress MLA Aftab Ahmed has been appointed Chairperson of the Public Accounts Committee. Other members include MLAs Om Prakash Yadav, Vinod Bhayana, Yogendra Singh Rana, Kanwar Singh, Manmohan Bhardana, Pooja, Arjun Chautala, and Aditya Surjewala.

MLA Pramod Kumar Vij will serve as Chairperson of the Estimates Committee.

MLA Ram Kumar Gautam has been appointed Chairperson of the Committee on Public Undertakings, while MLA Bhagwan Das is Chairperson of the Committee on Welfare of Scheduled Castes, and Backward Classes.

MLA Bharat Bhushan Batra has been appointed Chairperson of the Committee on Government Assurances, and MLA Vinod Bhayana has been made Chairperson of the Committee on Local Bodies and Panchayati Raj Institutions.

The Deputy Speaker of the Assembly, Dr Krishan Lal Middha, has been appointed Chairperson of the Committee on Public Health, Irrigation, Power, and Public Works (Buildings and Roads), while MLA Ram Kumar Kashyap will serve as Chairperson of the Committee on Education, Technical Education, Vocational Education, Medical Education, and Health Services.
