It was in 2012 when the State Games were held last time after which political wranglings have marred the conduct of these games here.

Haryana Olympics Association president Meenu Beniwal and cabinet minister Krishan Lal Panwar, who is also the secretary general of the association, held deliberations in the meeting and discussed the issues being faced by athletes in national and international tournaments. They said the HOA is preparing athletes and venues with 2036 Olympics in mind.

"The issue of upkeep of sports complexes dominated the discussion. It was also decided that the management committee would henceforth meet every first Tuesday of the month, said HOA treasurer Manjit Singh, adding that all secretaries of 22 district associations, officials of universities, police team representatives, HSIIDC officials and power corporations officials would participated in the meetings.
