To ensure peaceful, fair, and cheating-free conduct of the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) scheduled for July 30 and 31, the Kaithal police made elaborate security arrangements across the district.

Around 350 police personnel have been deployed across 25 examination centres, said Astha Modi, Superintendent of Police (SP).

She directed all supervising officers and Station House Officers (SHOs) to deal strictly with any anti-social elements attempting to disturb the examination.

“The police presence will be ensured in and around all examination centres, and PCRs and rider patrols have been instructed to conduct continuous and effective patrolling. Any negligence or irregularity in duty will invite strict legal action,” she said.

Modi said the Board of School Education Haryana was organising the HTET written examination in two shifts—an evening session on July 30, and both morning and evening sessions on July 31. To maintain law and order, Modi has issued a stern warning to miscreants, saying that strict action will be taken against anyone trying to disrupt the examination.

Kaithal District Magistrate Preeti has also enforced Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) within a 200-metre radius of all examination centres. Gathering of crowds near exam venues will not be allowed, and photocopy shops in the vicinity will remain closed during the exam hours, the SP added.

Besides, the traffic police have also been instructed to ensure designated parking areas for candidates’ vehicles and maintain smooth traffic flow around exam centres.
