HAU student tops in PG entrance exam

Sudesh Kaliraman, a student of the College of Agriculture at Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agriculture University (HAU), Hisar, has secured the top position in agronomy in the All India Entrance Examination for Admission to Post-Graduation (formerly ICAR-JRF) conducted by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).

A university spokesperson said 16 students from the HAU secured positions in the top 100 in the All India Ranks. In total, 50 students from the university performed remarkably well in the entrance examination, with 22 students from the HAU campus in Hisar, 13 from the College of Agriculture in Bawal, Rewari and 15 from the College of Agriculture, Kaul, Kaithal district, earning high ranks.

Vice-Chancellor Prof BR Kamboj attributed this success to the students’ dedication, perseverance, and the guidance provided by their teachers. Notable top rankers from HAU included Sakshi, Shruti Setia, Tamanna Chauhan, Priyanka Kadyan, Sudha Yadav, Pooja Bishnoi, Monu Meena, Aashna Sagwal, Rumesh, Nitin Jangra, Prabhat Kumar, Umesh Sheoran, Sonu Kumar, Rahul, Gaurav Patwa, Dhirendra Yadav, Ajay Malik, Sahil Dhania, Sahil Sindhu, Sumit, Aarti and Sudesh Kaliraman, who achieved the first rank.

From the College of Agriculture, Bawal, the top rankers were Manu, Archana Rani, Deepak Kaliravana, Abhinav, Simran Sheoran, Sunil Devi Goswami, Pinky Dalal, Akash Bishnoi, Krishna, Sahil, Rahul, Nirmal Singh, and Saurabh.

Top performers from the College of Agriculture, Kaul, included Bhumika, Shubham Sharma, Chirag, Rohit Dalal, Priyanka, Surbhi, Neha, Diya Bai, Yogesh Bhadoo, Alisha Rani, Jyoti, Sandeep, Amisha, Abhishek, and Khushbu.
