HC Judge inspects Karnal Judicial Complex, unveils e-Seva Kendra

Justice Harsimran Singh Sethi of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, who also serves as the Administrative Judge of the Karnal Sessions Division, visited the District judicial Complex on Saturday and reviewed the functioning of the court.

During the inspection, Sethi visited several courtrooms to observe judicial proceedings, and interacted with people present on the complex to assess the facilities being provided to litigants, and the general public.

He was accompanied by District and Sessions Judge and District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Chairman Ajay Kumar Sharda; Chief Judicial Magistrate and DLSA Secretary Iram Hasan; and Chief Judicial Magistrate Khushboo Goel. As part of his visit, Sethi inaugurated an e-Seva Kendra established on the judicial complex to provide prompt and convenient services to citizens.

He said the centre would help advocates, and the general public, access various judicial and legal services digitally, promoting efficiency and transparency.

After the inspection, Sethi held a meeting with members of the Karnal Bar Association, emphasising the crucial role of advocates in the justice delivery system.

He said, “Judges and lawyers are like the two wheels of the chariot of justice — the system cannot move forward without both.” At the complex, Sethi gave certificates to newly enrolled members of the bar association.

Later, he visited the Gharaunda Judicial Complex, where he reviewed facilities and infrastructure, and interacted with members of the Gharaunda Bar Association.
