The drive is designed to provide eyeglasses free of charge to schoolchildren and vision correction for residents above 45 years of age, a government spokesperson said, adding that it was being implemented under the National Program for Control of Blindness and Visual Impairment, with special budgetary provisions by the state government.

The minister appreciated the incorporation of modern amenities and advanced technologies and hoped that the upgraded facility would streamline academic and administrative functions, providing a better environment for students, faculty, and staff.

She also chaired the executive council meeting of Maharaja Agrasen Medical College Society. The meeting included discussions on several key issues such as institutional development, promotion of academic excellence, and strengthening the healthcare infrastructure.
