He was honoured for his achievements in the field of medical science and a distinguished career spanning over 35 years.
Dr Aggarwal has held several key academic and administrative roles at the PGIMS, Rohtak, including serving over eight years as Registrar of the UHSR. Earlier, he was Senior Professor and head of the department of medicine, contributing significantly to clinical education and departmental development.
“Internationally recognised in nephrology and internal medicine, Aggarwal received a prestigious Fellowship in CAPD from the International Society of Nephrology in 2002 and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (Edinburgh and London). His research has been presented globally, including in Germany, Japan, Brazil, and Canada,” said an official of the UHSR.
The official said in 2025, he received the Lifetime Achievement Award – Master Teacher by the Association of Physicians of India and another from the Innovative Physician Forum, presented by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. “Dr Aggarwal at present serves as president of the Indian Association of Clinical Medicine and remains active in social service in Rohtak,” the official added.
