Heavy rain lashes Gurugram, authorities issue work from home advisory for September 2

The Gurugram administration has advised corporate offices and private institutions in the district to allow their employees to work from home and schools to conduct online classes for students.

The directions were issued in a notification of the Disaster Management Authority, Gurugram.

According to the advisory, Gurugram recorded 100 mm rainfall from 3 pm to 7 pm today. In its forecast, the IMD issued an orange alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall in Gurugram for September 2.

"In view of the above forecast, all corporate offices and private institutions in the district are advised to guide their employees to work from home; and all schools to conduct online classes on September 2," the advisory stated.
